Operation Write Home: TSB's First Christmas Challenge!

Big day today, everyone! We're unveiling not one or two but FOUR upcoming releases and hosting our first (but certainly not last) challenge --and it's a very special one, too:
Operation Write Home is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong! Our challenge to you is to make cards to send to them for our nation’s heroes.

Please read the basic guidelines here; it’s important to; it’s important especially to remember that glitter is NOT allowed (it’s a safety hazard to our heroes), handmade cards onlyand OWH needs A2 sized cards.

“Operation Write Home” needs to be on the backs of your cards—it can be stamped, handwritten, or printed on labels. Please include a packing slip inside your box or envelope, and mail them to any of their shippers listed on the Mailroom page. In your package, you can also include notes written to a deployed service member.

How to Enter

The theme of this challenge is simply to make a Christmas card to be mailed to Operation Write Home. There are no restrictions as to which stamps you can use --all manufacturers/stamp companies are welcome!

The challenge goes on until Friday, October 15th, 11:59pm EST and of course there will be PRIZES!!

Patriotic Eagle - Soldier Pug
The Patriotic Eagle and Soldier Pug digis have been created especially for the occasion of this challenge! They will be released at the end of the challenge, after the winners have been announced, and we will be giving them out in the form of the following prizes:

Grand Prize of both the Patriotic Eagle and Soldier Pug digis PLUS one (1) digi of choice from the TSB store given to one winner chosen at random,

One (1) Patriotic Eagle digi to a Honorable Mention winner chosen by yours truly,

One (1) Soldier Pug digi to a Honorable Mention chosen by DT Coordinator Kellie Winnell.

Take a look at some of the beautiful cards our Design Team has made with these cuties:

New LOWER shipping fees & updates to our Terms of Use

Hi all! I've got some important news today regarding our Shipping Rates for rubber stamps and Terms of Use for digital stamps.

Lower Shipping Rates For All!

I know many of you outside of the US were hesitant to purchase rubber stamps from our store because of the high shipping fees. After shipping a few rubber stamps to those who did take the plunge and purchase them (God bless you for your support) I saw that I had to make some adjustments.

I could not, as it turned out, have a flat fee, because there is no International flat fee shipping method as I originally thought.

Furthermore, for one or two stamps, the shipping costs were WAY cheaper than my original flat rate. I felt like a thief keeping it that way, aside from the fact that, well --it's clearly too discouraging since you gals aren't buying many rubber stamps.

Our shipping fees are now $2.00 per stamp for Domestic orders and $3.00 per stamp for International orders. For orders of more than five stamps, you may be sent an additional invoice later if the shipping amount you were charged is significantly higher than the actual shipping costs. See below:

Domestic Shipping Rates

1 stamp = $2.00
2 stamps = $4.00
3 stamps = $6.00
4 stamps = $8.00
5 stamps = $10.00

International Shipping Rates

1 stamp = $3.00
2 stamps = $6.00
3 stamps = $9.00
4 stamps = $12.00
5 stamps = $15.00

More than five (5) stamps: You will be charged $10.00 for domestic shipping and $15.00 for international, which is the maximum our Paypal shopping cart is set up to charge. Then, if the actual shipping amount is higher, you will be invoiced for the balance.

I hope these lower shipping rates will seem fairer and encourage you to buy more. But if even this is too much, don't despair! We are now open to WHOLESALE INQUIRIES. So, you might find that a retailer will soon carry TSB stamps in your country! If you want your favorite retailer to carry them, be sure to ask them to do so, and direct them to us! =)

Updated Terms of Use

First I must say that our Terms of Use have NOT changed. You've been receiving this version of the Terms of Use with every digi purchase you made in the past couple of weeks already, and recently the website version has been updated to match what you've already received regularly in those emails. These are the points that have been made clearer:

YOU ARE BUYING ONLY AN INDIVIDUAL USER LICENSE
FOR EACH DIGITAL STAMP

What does this mean? It means only YOU can use this digi(s) and no one else in your household, nor any people in your challenge blog or design team. The license is per person. SHARING IS NOT OK!

There is an "unofficial" exception to this: if you have little kids at home, YES, you may print out the digis for them to color, YES, they may make cards with them. That is the only exception; everyone else needs to buy their own license. When in doubt, please EMAIL US AND ASK.

We do not want to be unreasonable with our policy, and really do hope that you won't feel that we are. <:( But as you may be aware other companies have had issues with people sharing their digis recently so we are forced to be strict. It goes without saying that this no-sharing rule only applies to digis, not rubber stamps! ;)

In addition, the Terms of Use now have their own page, separate from the F.A.Q., and a link to them appears on the store's left side bar.

Today's Design Team Features

Horus Roasting Marshmallows

Bikkie the Platypus
(DIGI and RUBBER - See page in shop)

That is all for today --have a fun weekend, everyone!

Susie with Pie Winner & DOUBLE release!

We've got a double release today! Louisa the Lioness is now available in the store, along with Susie with Pie! You can buy Louisa by clicking here, and Susie with Pie by visiting this page.

Time to announce the Susie with Pie Digi Giveaway winner! The lucky lady is...

Congratulations, Barbara --you won Susie! BE SURE TO SEND ME AN EMAIL TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE!

I'm glad you all like Susie the Kangaroo so much --here is a card that Marley from our talented DT made with her:

To answer theCook's question in a comment in yesterday's post: yes, I am the original designer behind Motivet's Doraline, Dexter, Hilda and Morris, but I have not designed for Motivet for well over a year. However, when I moved to The Greeting Farm, new designs continued to be released by Motivet which I did not design. If you compare the earlier designs with their current ones, it is not very hard to tell which ones are drawn by me, I think. ;)

Anyway, I have SO many new releases ready to go that it's hard to contain myself and not post them to the store all at once... Hee hee! All I can say is it's gonna be an exciting week after another! *big grin*

Stay tuned to our Facebook page for more "silhouette" sneak peeks that will keep you guessing right until the releases!
