Hello everyone. It's been a real long time since I last posted, but thanks to Susan and Emma's faithful and selfless help, the blog was never quite dead. Now I'm back with a little treat to share with you all. Allie and Percy, the puppies you met last year, have returned! I have two Christmasy digis for you.

The reason for my long absence is that I had a heavy workload of client work during the past year that left me way too drained to work on The Stamping Bazaar. Yet, despite the amount of work, my economic situation was very bad and now has become plain disastrous, since I've lost my main source of income right at Christmas time. While this leaves me with time to work on TSB again, it's also a lot of stress as you can imagine.

To be honest with you all, this has been one of the worst years of my life. And yet I know how lucky I am, because compared to what other people go through, I'm doing great. I'm certainly not the only one tired of this awful economy and bleak prospects for the future.

The last 2-3 months have been particularly insane for reasons I can't really go into here —but anyway, that is the reason these Christmas releases are so embarrassingly late. I hope you enjoy them anyway, and please know that every digi you buy helps me enormously, especially with medical expenses which are my main concern right now.

I hope you have the merriest of Christmases and happiest of New Years!

An overdue update from Marina!

Hello everyone! Marina here. It's been quite a while since my last post, and The Stamping Bazaar is over one year old now. How time flies! I've been so busy, that I started drafting this post out in June to inform everyone of some major restructuring that was going on around that time, and I didn't get to work on it again until today --in mid August!

I wanted to make it clear that The Stamping Bazaar is still up and running, no small thanks to my dear DT Coordinators Emma & Susan. My freelance illustration workload right now is such that I am too spent to enjoy creating new TSB designs, but this is only temporary, though exactly how long I cannot accurately say.

I'll talk about what's kept me so busy on my own personal blog. For now, I wanted to make everyone aware of what the the changes were, even though they were implemented a couple of months ago.

Design Team

From now on, our Design Team is invitation only. We will not be accepting applications or holding DT calls again until further notice.

Rubber Stamps and Wholesale Accounts

We will no longer sell rubber stamps to individual customers. Instead, we will sell rubber stamps only to select retailers. It's complicated to explain, but doing this will allow us to expand the rubber stamp catalog we offer to our retailers, and as a result, you'll have access to more TSB rubber stamps, so we have good reason to do this.

This also means that if you have an online store in the United States, you can now open a Wholesale Account with The Stamping Bazaar, which you couldn't before!

To make it easier for those who prefer to buy rubber stamps, we've created a new Retailers page where you can find links and addresses to online and brick-and-mortar stories that are authorized to carry The Stamping Bazaar products.

AND FINALLY: Our Yahoo! group is being deleted. Instead, our Flickr group will become the primary place to share your creations.

Easter Release Day! TWO NEW DIGIS!

Yes! Yes it is!! It's a BRAND NEW RELEASE --just in time for Easter! Too late, I know, but better late than never, right? Our new digi releases are...

It's been too long since we had a release... =( I humbly apologize! I've been too busy with other projects (mainly client work) and also with my cats, which are, believe it or not, STILL SICK. *Sigh* Not serious, but tiresome, annoying and expensive.

Anyway, hope you enjoy this new release! Our brand new DT members as well as our Senior Members are preparing some really cool samples for you to see later this week! ;)

Firstly we would like to say a huge big thank you to all our lovely ladies on our design team - you are the absolute best!!! Sadly we are saying goodbye to Barbara, you are going to be missed by us all, you have an enormous talent and we wish you all the best for the future in whatever you do!!

We have therefore now decided that we want to expand our already very talented design team and we are looking for at least 6 talented, easy going and dedicated new members to join our team - if you would like to apply please leave your name below with the 'linky thing' with a link to your blog, so that we can come along and see your work.

This is what we want from you:

One creation per week, it can be a card, 3D item, tag, bookmark etc. using Marina's fabulous images, to be posted on an assigned day each week on your blog with links to The Stamping Bazaar.

Post the DT banner and TSB blinkie that will be provided to you, on your sidebar.
Communicate within the Yahoo! group.

This is what you will get from The Stamping Bazaar:

Hi, everyone! Welcome to our 18th Weekly Challenge! First of all, the winners of last challenge have not yet been chosen: since that challenge was posted a bit late, we are EXTENDING THE DEADLINE to Saturday, 12:00am EST! TSB's 17th Challenge: Tags!

Hi, everyone! Welcome to our 17th Weekly Challenge! So late, but it's finally here! I'm really sorry, guys and gals...

I thank you all for your lovely concerned comments, but please don't be too worried about me... What is happening with my eyes is very bothersome, but not unbearably painful, nor dangerous (I hope.) The worst of it is the surgery I have to get, which is minor but pretty daunting as anything involving your eyes, scalpels and needles is bound to be. I've moved my doctor's appointment, so now it will be sooner than it was going to be, and a very good friend will drive me so I don't have to take four buses and travel almost three hours just to get to the clinic (it's a mere 30 minutes by car, but I don't own one.)

Another update!

OK folks, here is the situation: I might not need a surgery because it looks like my swollen, white eyelid will basically explode sometime tonight. :'D

It doesn't hurt, but it's making my vision a bit blurry. So our challenge is still delayed. I am sorry! I should be alright within a few more hours, to a day. And I am still seeing the ophthalmologist next week.

Sorry for giving "too much information" but I wanted you all to know that it isn't easy for me to be at the screen for long periods at the moment. I will be back very very soon!!

FACEBOOK DIGI GIVEAWAY!

Hey all! As you probably already know I am trying to get more "likes" on my new Facebook page so that I can set up a custom URL/username for it.

So this week, I am holding a special digi giveaway on it!

Here's how to participate:

1. Visit my new Facebook page and click on the "LIKE" button (you can also do that part in the widget below.)

2. Post a little comment on the page -- it can be anything! Even as simple as, "I'm here for the digi giveaway" or "Hello!"

Don't forget the commenting part! A bunch of friends of mine who also liked this new page have no interest in digital stamps, so I will choose a winner among those who liked the page AND commented on it after this blog entry was posted. Okay? Okay! ;)
